Seemingly every week in this 2013-14 Premier League the title race takes a new twist.

It is as though the sands shift as the trio of teams involved somehow fail to seize the real opportunity that would put significant distance between themselves and the chasing pack.

This weekend in particular though felt like it could very well be one of seismic proportions. A fortnight after they defeated Manchester City, Liverpool hosted Chelsea in a game that City were now desperately pinning their hopes on the visitors winning. This of course after they followed up the loss at Anfield with dropped points at home to Sunderland, who, to cloud the race further then themselves went and knocked off Chelsea.
