Everton have control over Champions League fate – but it won’t be easy

It is simple: 7 wins in 7 matches.

Do it, and Everton get Champions League football.

Since the 04-05 season, Everton have never been in control of their fate this late in the season.

Before this any fourth-place finish required bit of a prayer, a few results to go Everton’s way, and generally things that never happen in the EPL.

But this year is different. A squad that is normally beset by injuries this late in the campaign is returning to full strength at the right time.

The injury layoffs for Romelu Lukaku and Ross Barkley have turned out to be blessings. Both players have had even better form post-injury.

The new and young players are settling in nicely as well.
