Zenit St Petersburg ready to splash £40m on Mesut Ozil transfer and ‘change shirt colour’ to reinvigorate Arsenal man


ozil Zenit St Petersburg have allegedly indicated they’d be willing to reimburse Arsenal for Mesut Ozil and take the German off their hands in a £40million summer deal.

Russian sports website День смеха published ‘off the record’ quotes from Zenit president Alexander Dyukov in the early hours of this morning – which were pulled shortly after – claiming he would be ready to offer the Gunners almost all of what they paid for the playmaker last summer.

Dyukov was also said to be willing to switch the colour of Zenit’s home and away shirts in an attempt to inspire Ozil back to his best form with Real Madrid and Germany, where he wore white.
