They said Brendan Rodgers’ side had found it easy because no one expected them to do well, and that as soon as the Premier League trophy was in sight they would panic.
They’ve said a lot of things this season, but however much the media and other clubs wish to write Liverpool off the Reds keep coming and are getting better and better.
In truth, Liverpool eased their way to the top of the league with an emphatic 4-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
Goals from Younes Kabul, who put the ball into his own next, Luis Suarez, Philippe Coutinho and and Jordan Henderson made the points safe and helped their side cash in on Manchester City and Chelsea dropping points.
