Jose Mourinho: Chelsea still Premier League ‘outsiders’ despite Manchester City win

Jose Mourinho has maintained his stance that Chelsea remain outsiders for the Premier League title despite victory over Manchester City on Monday.

The Blues earned a valuable 1-0 win at the Etihad thanks to a first-half strike from Branislav Ivanovic, taking Mourinho’s men level on points with the Citizens and just two behind leaders Arsenal.

But Mourinho has not moved on his opinion his side remain dark horses to lift their third league title under his stewardship.

‘I’m not saying we’re not going to win, I’m saying we are outsiders. We are playing our league against ourselves to try to improve,’ he said.

‘We are not a squad like Man City’s, with every player in the best moment of their careers, all of them working together for a long time, a manager that arrives and the team was there ready for him.
