Why the conquering of Manchester City was vintage Jose Mourinho

We all saw the various expressions of the Special One last night especially after the final whistle. He finally achieved what he wanted to achieve over Man City. Thumbs Up to him.


We are, perhaps, not quite deep enough into the 2013-144 Premier League to talk of results defining the title race yet Chelsea’s 1-0 win over Manchester City was significant enough to impact upon it and sent out a message that it may well go right to the wire.

It was a performance that will see Jose Mourinho grab much-deserved headlines, and rightly so, for this was vintage Mourinho. This was no parking of the bus, instead a plan executed to the letter; strong and stifling in defence and creative and threatening in attack.

Manuel Pellegrini spoke post-game that his side struggled to cope with the injuries suffered of late.
