Arsenal sure have a way of having things going for them this season. With some of their main strikers out others are coming back in form. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is back or should i say The OX is back as we saw from his display yester-night. But can this just be a one off show??? We will keep our fingers crossed for now.
Arsenal versus a Tony Pulis Crystal Palace was never going to be a high octane advert for Premier League football, but it did at least shine a light on the talent of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The young midfielder picked up a nasty injury at the start of the season that ruled him out until this year. The shame of the injury outside the obvious is that he’d be electric in preseason.
So fast forward to yesterday. Arsene Wenger gives him a game in his preferred centre midfield and let’s him roam free. The manager wasn’t let down. Chamberlain, whilst not exceptional, delivered a performance that boasted energy and discipline. He plays with a calmness which belies his age. Composure is his thing and excitement is his output.
