Jose Mourinho made tactical errors against West Ham – and Chelsea definitely need to buy a striker

I believe they should be happy getting a draw out of the game. At list Arsenal also dropped two points. Lets’ face it, we cant win all games. Even Man City will let off some steam very soon.

What can be said about the goalless draw between Chelsea and West Ham at Stamford Bridge – other than it being a big opportunity wasted by Jose Mourinho’s side?

The Blues blew their chance to go level on points with Arsenal and have dropped two further behind Premier League title favourites Manchester City, who host Chelsea on Monday night at the Etihad.

Sam Allardyce’s tactics were predictably negative and for most of the game there were 10 claret shirts behind the ball. The relegation candidates fought bravely and put their bodies on the line at every opportunity but this can only be described as a massive failure on Chelsea’s part.

Having a top-class forward… can help turn such tight affairs into victories and the Blues have let window after window go by without addressing their lack of one

I could see the logic behind Mourinho’s changes in shape and personnel…
