My husband is having a love affair…with Bananas. Month’s ago, we purchased the ice cream attachment off our registry to go with the KitchenAid mixer (best wedding gift ever!) and like many wedding gifts it stayed in the closet until we could gather up enough strength to test it out. The outcome? Amazing!
Growing up in Ohio I was lucky enough to enjoy truly delicious ice cream. From Jeni’s to Graeter’s, to the ever convenient UDF. For our first batch I wanted to do something more exciting than vanilla but not as ambitious as goat cheese with red cherries. And in support of my husband’s affair, I chose to make banana chip ice cream. If you can’t beat the mistress…cream her.

- 4 ripe bananas (chopped in to 1 inch pieces)
- 2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup raw sugar
